Marvin Braude Bike Path Dedication
On Monday, July 23rd Councilman Bill Rosendahl participated in the dedication of the Marvin Braude Bike Route along the coast at Will Rogers State Beach. Bill joined County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, LA County Beaches and Lifeguard staff, and the families of Marvin Braude and Will Rogers for the unveiling of the Will Rogers State Beach dedication plaque and Marvin Braude bike path signs.
The new facilities and lifeguard headquarters will be a great benefit to recreation, beach access, and safety at Will Rogers State Beach. Marvin Braude, City Councilman for the 11th District from 1965 until 1997, took a leadership role in developing the bike path and beach facilities. This dedication ceremony recognized his efforts to bring this wonderful project to fruition for the benefit of beachgoers and cyclists.
